Abstract / Summary

The paper analyzes a hybrid preemptive/non-preemptive discipline for prioritized status updates with a shared server and single buffer, deriving age-of-information moments and threshold controls. Although network-oriented, it is a close Performance Evaluation reference for freshness, interruption policy and bounded-resource trade-offs.
